In Memoriam: Jubilee Mourns the Passage of Ronald Fluke

Posted on July 31, 2024

With great sadness we share the news that Ronald “Ronnie” Fluke passed away on Monday evening, July 22 after a brief battle with cancer. Ronnie joined the Jubilee community in 2004, and a team of staff from Jubilee became as close as family and were by his side for two decades. He lived with his close friend Alex Fidler. Ronnie was a joy to be around with a great sense of humor much like his father, Ron Fluke.  He loved to socialize, enjoy outdoor activities, and take vacations with his friends. Ronnie loved sharks and could be seen everywhere with his stuffed “sharkies.”

He loved his sister, Terri Fluke, and looked forward to spending time with her. Ronnie and his parents (Ron and Donna Fluke, who predecease him) were big Washington football fans and spent every week cheering on their team.

In his later years Ronnie also enjoyed the support of advocate Bea Rodgers of By Their Side, long-time family friend Kelly Spanoghe, as well as the Rosaria community. At the family’s request, memorial donations may be made to Jubilee in his honor.
