Community Engagement
Jubilee is a joyful community where everyone belongs. We create engaging activities and develop leadership opportunities for the people we support. Friendships are fostered through programs and special events, and through our Circle of Friends volunteer program.
Opportunities to connect and to feel seen as a human being with unique gifts underpin all Jubilee programs.
“Jubilee is my second family.”

Community Engagement Programs
View all of Jubilee’s Community Engagement programs on the events calendar. Find events, classes, and programs (virtual and in-person) for the month ahead. Registration is required for each event via each posting on the events calendar. All programs are free and open to the community thanks to generous donors.
Social Programs – A vibrant mix of programs create opportunities for the people we support to engage in the community. Programs are offered both in-person and virtually, all at no cost thanks to support from generous donors. Activities are updated often and in consultation with the people we support. Some of our more popular offerings include: karaoke nights, field day, dinners out, yoga, dance parties, audio book club, and a weekly social hour.
Special Events – We love getting together! Holiday celebrations, summer cookouts, beach trips, and more are all opportunities to bring the Jubilee family together.
Client Council – A self-advocacy group led by the people we support. Every person supported by Jubilee is encouraged to participate, and elections are held for officer positions. The council holds monthly meetings and plans special events, trips, and an annual retreat. The council president sits on Jubilee’s Board of Directors.

Circle of Friends
Jubilee’s Circle of Friends helps foster long-term relationships between the people we support and community members who seek meaningful connections and friendships. We welcome new members of the community to join us.
Circle of Friends members tell us their relationships with the people Jubilee supports are mutually beneficial and transformative.
As a member, you might share a meal, attend community events together, celebrate birthdays, watch or play sports, or help out with home projects. Matches may be made based on shared hobbies and interests, existing relationships such as friends of friends, and even geography among neighbors.
