Jubilee Staff Wins Statewide Award

Congratulations to Jubilee’s own Rokhaya Dieng on winning the MACS 2026 Direct Support Professional & Frontline Supervisor Award! This prestigious statewide award recognizes the top direct support professionals in the state who elevate the profession. She received the award at the MACS 2026 Direct Support Professional Conference in late May. A team of Jubilee frontline workers and managers attended the conference to learn and share best practices in supporting people with disabilities.

“Rokhaya’s work reminds us that true direct support is not simply about providing care, it is about building trust, honoring dignity, empowering choice, and creating opportunities for people to experience joy, independence, and belonging,” said Gia Richmond, Jubilee Director of Program Services. “We are incredibly grateful for the compassion and excellence she brings to Jubilee every day.”

Jubilee nominated Rokhaya for the MACS award based on her exceptional professional excellence and person-centered thinking. In addition, Rokhaya recently won Jubilee’s Shining Star award. She was nominated for that award by all three families of the men she supports.

“Through her encouragement and belief in their abilities, Rokhaya has helped the men she supports grow in confidence, independence, and self-expression,” said Jubilee Program Manager Nana Anane. “Nana’s leadership in supporting and uplifting dedicated professionals like Rokhaya,” added Gia, “strengthens not only her team, but our entire program and organization.”
