Jubilee honored Maryland General Assembly Delegate Emily Shetty (District 18) and our Champions of Inclusion at a recent reception that celebrated those who help make our work possible.
“We’re grateful to all our partners and supporters, and enjoyed this opportunity to celebrate their contributions to Jubilee,” said Executive Director Steve Keener. “Delegate Shetty helped lead the fight to preserve state funding for disability services in the legislative session. Jubilee’s Champions of Inclusion help ensure a strong future by pledging at least $1,000 a year for five years to support our work.”
Carol Fried, mom to David Mitz who is supported by Jubilee, presented Delegate Shetty with a certificate of appreciation from Jubilee. We honored her ongoing commitment to helping Marylanders with disabilities and her leadership as Chair of the Health and Social Services Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee in 2025.
The reception was held at our housing partner Main Street’s reception space. Jubilee supports people who live at Main Street, many of whom proudly served as welcome ambassadors at the event.
