Attend Client Council Meeting on Sunday, August 31

Jubilee’s highly anticipated elections for Client Council take place this Fall. Kick-off to election season begins at the next Client Council meeting, held on Sunday, August 31.

Client Council is Jubilee’s self-advocacy organization for the people we support. Elected members help shape community engagement programming, including the annual Client Council retreat. They also participate in advocacy opportunities. The President of the Client Council sits on the Jubilee Board to ensure that the voice of the people we support is heard.

At the August 31 meeting, we will review the Client Council bylaws, the role of each elected officer, and open the nomination process. You can run for office even if you miss the meeting.  Good luck to all our candidates! Even if you are not running for office, this is an important opportunity to have your voice heard in who you elect to represent you.

Here are some important dates to remember for the election season.

September 17: Last day to contact Julia McCune or Corey Coby to notify them if you want to run for elected office.

September 28: Official candidate announcement during the monthly Client Council meeting. Click here to register for the meeting.
