Your Donations Support Community Engagement at Jubilee
“Keeping ourselves safe is really important,” said Client Council President Elaine Carney. “We decided to learn how at our annual retreat.” The retreat is planned by the elected officers of the Client Council, with support from Jubilee’s Community Engagement staff.
“Once they came up with the theme, we really ran with it and had learning sessions focused on community and online safety, abuse prevention, and safe relationships,” said Julia McCune, Jubilee’s Director of Community Engagement. “Guest speakers from People on the Go Maryland and the Prince George’s County Police Department provided valuable information.”
The retreat is an annual opportunity to learn and also to deepen relationships. “We prioritize community, and this year presented a fun opportunity as we celebrated Mark Springuel’s 38th birthday together,” said Julia. “Since we were at National Harbor, we braved the giant Ferris Wheel!”
Your generous support for Jubilee’s community engagement helped make this retreat possible for 41 people supported by Jubilee. Thank you!
