In Memoriam: Brian Lyman

It is with deep sadness that we share that longtime Jubilee community member Brian Lyman passed away on Saturday, April 18 at the age of 71. Brian joined Jubilee in 1979 as one of Jubilee’s original clients and was a cherished member of the Jubilee family. He lived in Jubilee’s first home for more than four decades.

Brian was the youngest of ten children and was deeply loved by his family and parents, who preceeded him in passing. His sister Nancy shared that Brian “considered Jubilee his home. He loved his home and the staff who took care of him.”

Last year, Brian fulfilled a longtime dream when he took a trip to New York City and visited Times Square. Brian will be remembered not only for the many years he spent with us, but for the warmth and sense of belonging he brought to those around him. He leaves behind a lasting impact on our community and will be deeply missed. Donations to Jubilee can be made in Brian’s memory.

Brian’s siblings Chris Lyman and Nancy Ensor shared Brian’s story with Jubilee in 2023, and you are invited to reread it and reminisce as Brian’s life touched many in the Jubilee community.
