We are saddened to share the news of the passing of David Petersen, at age 72, on October 10. David joined the Jubilee community in 2009, and will be greatly missed. Please keep David’s family, friends, and the many Jubilee staff who knew him in your thoughts and prayers.

David will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit and his love of adventure. He enjoyed going to the casino and often celebrated his birthday with trips to Las Vegas alongside close family and friends. David enjoyed doing odd jobs, including house and dog-sitting for neighbors, and collecting cans for coins. He was a talented artist who proudly displayed his work at Jubilee’s talent show and enjoyed attending art classes at VisArts and Jubilee’s Doodle Den. One of his favorite outings with his longtime support staff, Lisa Hayes, was visiting Up Up and Away in Silver Spring, where he could enjoy another of his favorite things: balloons. David’s personality, creativity, and enjoyment of life made him a special part of the Jubilee community.
