We share with sadness news of the passing of Jubilee community member Bill Scaggs. Bill was a member of the Jubilee community for more than 20 years, and passed away at age 79.
Bill will be remembered as a kind, faith-filled man who brought humor and heart to everyone around him. He proudly worked in a government mailroom for 40 years, loved sharing stories of his youth, and had a deep bond with his sister, Debi.
He was a talented bowler, earning numerous trophies over the years, and had a passion for music — especially singing his favorite song, That’s What Friends Are For. Bill was known for his thoughtful conversations, love of history, and his signature sense of style—always wanting to “look good for his family.” He had a warm, genuine way of connecting with others, never forgetting to ask about their loved ones or offer to include them in his prayers.
Please keep Bill’s sister, Debi, and his Jubilee family, including longtime housemates Toni Zoghby and Joseph Cumberbatch, in your thoughts and prayers.
